This fails in joule but the same image does not fail in a minnowboard max. poky: 4b94b49 meta-intel: 8dbd551 the procedure is: 1. build a core image minimal with meta intel's machine intel-corei7-64 2. burn the hddimg image to an sd card using dd 3. boot it in a joule machine 4. try to edit the boot params At this point it will freeze and you need to restart.
