<thetext>Currently devtool tries to figure out what is the new URL some recipes don't follow any convention so will be good if we could specify SRC_URI in certain cases.</thetext>

> For example:
>
> $ devtool RECIPE --version --src_uri

I missed the upgrade subcommand then,

$ devtool upgrade RECIPE --version --src_uri</thetext>

<thetext>This looks pretty straight forward to add --srcuri and --srcuri_protocol options. Likely this will requires some additional tests to ensure the srcuri is valid, like missing a branch for git or other parameter specific to the given fetcher module that is being invoked.</thetext>
