<thetext>In order to enable libgstgl, either x11 or wayland seems to be needed but x11 is not handled by gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad.

I'd be good to add x11 PACKAGECONFIG to be able to enable libgstgl in an x11 environment.</thetext>

<thetext>I'll write this down to still remember next week:

* I agree we should set configure options explicitly

* I have not been able to reproduce this specific problem... plugins-base depends on x11 (if x11 is in distro features) and that makes plugins-bad always autodetect x11, and build libgstgl.

* Adding a new PACKAGCONFIG is not tricky but I'd like to be able to reproduce this first. X library dependencies are tricky so I'd like to be sure e.g. if xext, xau and xdmcp are also dependencies or not: they at least end up being linked to.</thetext>

Looks like I had made some mistake and I'm don't see any problems after all.</thetext>
