<thetext>QEMU inserts its default machine type into the processor information field (SMBIOS type 2 structure) which results in different fingerprints. This needs some investigation, we should not have to maintain separate RMC database records for each version of QEMU.</thetext>

<thetext>This should not really be fixed in RMC. RMC uses whatever processor type is reported by smbios to generate a board fingerprint. Qemu modifies the processor type field in each of its releases. Therefore to support multiple qemu releases with the same rmc.db record, we should use a common machine type by passing "-machine" parameter when qemu is started.
