However since the second boot, the daemon no longer exists, which will have problems for creating the /dev/ nodes. 14200 1 dongxiao.xu 2011-06-07 01:54:53 +0000 Root cause is the udev script, where it has a piece of code: if [ -e /etc/dev.tar ]; then (cd /; tar xf /etc/dev.tar 2>&1 | grep -v 'time stamp') not_first_boot=1 fi The grep command will return 1 if not found the "time stamp", which cause the udevd start failure.
