The issue is that: SRC_URI = "${S}" S = "${WORKDIR}" WORKDIR = "xxx/${PV}" PV = "${SRCPV}" SRCPV = "${@bb.fetch2.get_srcrev(d)}" and get_srcrev(d) will expand SRC_URI.
