For example, a .xml.gz files is recognized as plain text file, leading to the error elsewhere reported as https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/38. I ran into the same problem on OE. Let's add a RRECOMMENDS_${PN} to glib-2.0 which lists shared-mime-info. It's really a bit worse: The installed version is split into 800 small xml files! With 4k block size that means ~3.6 MB.
