The existing makefile.patch failed to apply and I elected to drop it in the rebase. When I did devtool finish, it should have dropped that patch from SRC_URI but it didn't. Sequence of operations: 1. meta-intel-iot-middleware at 840602e59ef1b5b4db4fb04bcb87e222d1fec981 (on paule/cleanup branch at the moment) 2. devtool upgrade paho-mqtt -S e8d34da24ad807f5e698b327d67591fd4b4bfa7e -V 1.2.0 3. cd into the source directory and git rebase --skip 4. devtool edit-recipe paho-mqtt and add a line: PE = "1" 5. devtool finish paho-mqtt meta-intel-iot-middleware 76430 1 bluelightning 2017-08-31 22:55:15 +0000 Fix merged to master: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=24cfac526305e623f368152147497b39cb26044c
