<thetext>We hit this recently in our https://github.com/openbmc project.

```
```

I used https://github.com/openbmc/openbmc/issues/2530 to track a fix for this in our project. https://gerrit.openbmc-project.xyz/#/c/7650/2/meta-phosphor/common/recipes-devtools/python/python-gevent_%2525.bbappend is the bbappend I added to fix it.

Looks like pypi.python.org now requires https for all downloads.</thetext>

    <thetext>This wasn't filed in the correct category (the one you selected is for the contents of the layer index itself, not the actual layers it points to) and we don't typically track issues in meta-virtualization in this bugzilla, however this was a quick fix so I've made it and sent it to the meta-virtualization list.</thetext>

    <thetext>This has been fixed in master, pyro, morty and krogoth in meta-virtualisation, marking as resolved.</thetext>
