<thetext>I saw in a recent oe-selftest run on the autobuilder that one of the recently added tests (test_meta_ide_can_build_cpio_project) produced a lot of output even though it succeeded:

https://autobuilder.yocto.io/builders/nightly-oe-selftest/builds/949/steps/Running%20oe-selftest/logs/stdio

Tests really should not be showing this kind of output (unless they fail) - can it be silenced?</thetext>

<thetext>This may be tricky to solve since previous "fixes" here have hidden all error output which makes failures very difficult to debug. I agree we should fix this but it may be a hard issue to catch. I also remember different behaviours of logging in different python versions unfortunately.</thetext>
