    <thetext>Sergey Lapin reported on the oe-core mailing list that the ncurses module does not work in python. 

To test this, build an image with python-ncurses in it, and run the interactive interpreter. &quot;import curses&quot; will result in an &quot;ImportError: No module named _curses&quot;

Reverting this commit works around the problem:
