<thetext>PulseAudio doesn't get any testing, mainly because at present it isn't in the Sato images.

Ideas for testing:
- check server starts
- check audio input/output works through PA
- check audio output can be switched in realtime between outputs</thetext>

    <thetext>Hi Jessica,

Currently we have testcases ragarding audio testing on BSP's.
As an example, the following FRI2 tests are available for all BSP's we have in testing:

> happen automatically when it's merged.

Hi Ross,
Any updates on this?

Is there a need for a specific test suite?</thetext>

> Alex: what sort of audio testing is done on hardware right now?

Audio:
- play ogg, wav, ogv, unable to play without commercial flag.
- usually using the audio jack and via HDMI if the HW has this support.

I guess my question is if testing some audio files is enough, or we need to cover more on the audio part as well.

Assigning it back to you:)</thetext>

You can check the "audio *" test cases within this template: https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/tr_show_run.cgi?run_id=4039</thetext>

<thetext>The only audio test cases I can see there is "open five files in gstplayer".

Apart from that I'd like to see:
1) verification hotplug of HDMI-with-integrated-speakers works on NUC
2) verification that volume works</thetext>
