<thetext>X11 is not working correctly because .so is missing.

You can reproduce the problem by running the unit test:

# DISPLAY=:0 /unit_tests/mxc_epdc_x11_fb_test.out

Error: unable to open X display

Or if you try to use the Gstreamer plug-in mfw_isink</thetext>

For this you need to pass:

#: DISPLAY=:0 <command>

So it will have the display set.</thetext>

    <thetext>Hi Tarek,
I could not reproduce this issue with latest repo heads. However, these are my comments:

1. Running a simple playback works fine (as you can see, I did not set the DISPLAY variable)

2) Running the same test as you did, it indicates that the /dev/fb5 does not exist, but I do not see the log you posted.

root@imx6qsabresd:/unit_tests# DISPLAY=:0 /unit_tests/mxc_epdc_x11_fb_test.out
using XRandR: screen size = 1024x768, rotation = UR

root@imx6qsabresd:/unit_tests#

3) When using gst-launch, the pipeline you posted does not work, at least nothing is shown on the screen but if you use mfw_v4lsink, it works as expected, video is playback correctly.</thetext>

It might have been fixed with last BSP release; we are using the 3.0.5 Gstreamer plugins in master.

    <thetext>Hi Otavio,

My main concern is to get the Gstreamer mfw_isink element working.

Last time I checked was in January and it wasn't working.

I raised this bug because I thought it is X problem that affects mfw_isink but I might not be correct.

You can close this bug because I raised another one for isink:
