<thetext>Good to add. Can you provide a recommended blurb you'd like to see in the variable glossary?</thetext>

<thetext>I would replicate the PARALLEL_MAKE variable to a certain extent with additional ICECC related notes.

For instance, it is not possible to autodetect it like PARALLEL_MAKE in master if I understood correctly. It needs to be set to the estimated participating core numbers * 2 in the network. That is my understanding at least.

I do not feel qualified enough to tell more about it comfortably. It is better to ask someone more experienced.</thetext>

<thetext>Just so we are clear, that is for the best performance like with the PARALLEL_MAKE option. One can set it to less to utilize less core for sure.

The main difference between PARALLEL_MAKE and ICECC_PARALLEL_MAKE is that the former specifies it for local builds, hence local computer. The latter specifies for all the enabled [*] machines on the network.

[*] running the iceccd daemon so that participating to the distributed builds.</thetext>

<thetext>Perfect, thanks. We need to give some direction to start off the documentation process. This should be sufficient to get it started.</thetext>

<thetext>This is good information to start with. I will get a first draft of it in today for review.

    <thetext>Hi,

Please look at http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.6/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#var-ICECC_PARALLEL_MAKE for the first draft of this variable. I made some assumptions to create the description.

Thanks,
Scott</thetext>
