<thetext>When things work on the autobuilder and not on others systems or visa versa, it can sometimes be painful to track down the differences in the systems.

I would like a tool and a wikipage that we can run on autobuilder infrastructure that:

- Documents filesystems, bios, /etc/issue, scsi controllers, etc.
- Documents auto.conf local.conf bblayers.conf, versions/branches of each.
- I would like to to have a lightweight option (poky build system) and a heavy weight option (system itself)
- I want this run on every autobuilder after every build and stored with the release artifacts
- I want this available in poky so that others can run it and give me this info in their bug reports.</thetext>

<thetext>The tool is composed of 2 parts:
host: to get information from the host where the build ran as filesystem, kernel, RAID controller, BIOS
poky: git hash, layer hash, dump local.conf, auto.conf, bblayers.conf

Create a report in xml format or similar

Estimate:
6 days development, 3 for each part
4 days to test it</thetext>
