<thetext>We really need the preparing_build_system.log contents to see what actually failed - I've filed bug 9576 to ensure this gets logged when running the test on the autobuilder in future. In the mean time I've logged in and grabbed it and interestingly the failure is the same on both PPC and MIPS - something is going awry with busybox in particular:

-------------- snip --------------
ERROR: Unexpected tasks or setscene left over to be executed:
   task 1071 of 2219 (ID: 793, /home/pokybuild/yocto-autobuilder/yocto-worker/nightly-ppc/build/build/tmp/work/qemuppc-poky-linux/core-image-minimal/1.0-r0/testsdkext/tc/layers/build/meta/recipes-core/busybox/busybox_1.24.1.bb, do_fetch)
   task 1512 of 2219 (ID: 788, /home/pokybuild/yocto-autobuilder/yocto-worker/nightly-ppc/build/build/tmp/work/qemuppc-poky-linux/core-image-minimal/1.0-r0/testsdkext/tc/layers/build/meta/recipes-core/busybox/busybox_1.24.1.bb, do_unpack)
   task 1883 of 2219 (ID: 789, /home/pokybuild/yocto-autobuilder/yocto-worker/nightly-ppc/build/build/tmp/work/qemuppc-poky-linux/core-image-minimal/1.0-r0/testsdkext/tc/layers/build/meta/recipes-core/busybox/busybox_1.24.1.bb, do_patch)
   task 2202 of 2219 (ID: 798, /home/pokybuild/yocto-autobuilder/yocto-worker/nightly-ppc/build/build/tmp/work/qemuppc-poky-linux/core-image-minimal/1.0-r0/testsdkext/tc/layers/build/meta/recipes-core/busybox/busybox_1.24.1.bb, do_populate_lic)
-------------- snip --------------

It looks like the do_populate_lic is what's actually missing from the sstate directory, the other tasks are just dependencies of that. It's odd that this would only affect these two architectures though.</thetext>

<thetext>We're not seeing this issue on the autobuilder any more so I assume this was fixed at some point and the bug just got lost in the system. Resolving accordingly.</thetext>
