Description Jose Perez C 2016-08-08 16:54:01 UTC
Currently build-perf-test-wrapper.sh asks for sudo password to check KernelDropCaches in an interactive way, our machines needs a method to execute this script in non interactive way.

oe-build-perf test script (that is being called by build-perf-test-wrapper.sh) needs root privileges in order to drop the kernel caches. The script uses the tee command for writing into /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches. You can avoid the password prompt by defining:

<user> ALL = NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

in a sudoers file (e.g. /etc/sudoers.d/buildperf). Just replace <user> with the username that is supposed to be able to run the script without a password probmpt.
