Description brian avery 2016-09-23 22:08:03 UTC
If I am using to a fully populated sstate mirror but my build machine does not have access to http://downloads.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.3/x86_64-nativesdk-libc.tar.bz2, the build stalls/fails.

It seems like the sstate mirror should be sufficient to populate the uninative pieces.

So, I tried overriding the UNINATIVE_URL in my local.conf. Unfortunately, the version in yocto-uninative.inc won. Here's a bitbake -e snippet:
in local.conf:
UNINATIVE_URL = "http://downloadsLOCAL.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"

# $UNINATIVE_URL [3 operations]
#   set /workdir/build/conf/local.conf:249
#     "http://downloadsLOCAL.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"
#   set /workdir/poky/meta/conf/distro/include/yocto-uninative.inc:9
#     "http://downloadsUNINATIVEINC.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"
#   set? /workdir/poky/meta/classes/uninative.bbclass:3
#     "unset"
# pre-expansion value:
#   "http://downloadsUNINATIVEINC.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"
UNINATIVE_URL="http://downloadsUNINATIVEINC.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"

Turns out that the yocto-uninative.inc is forcing the url
UNINATIVE_URL = "http://downloadsUNINATIVEINC.yoctoproject.org/releases/uninative/1.4/"
UNINATIVE_CHECKSUM[i686] ?= "b4bc60511ce479736808273ffa043df4ed2a225407dd7ca150ae6220d9ce76d5"
UNINATIVE_CHECKSUM[x86_64] ?= "101ff8f2580c193488db9e76f9646fb6ed38b65fb76f403acb0e2178ce7127ca"

but not the checksums. odd.

Sending a fix that allows override from local.conf as well as a local.sample.conf comment that shows how/what to override.

I feel this is sufficient for closing this if accepted.
