Description Paul Eggleton 2016-10-12 02:16:21 UTC
Rebuilding the kernel after a minor change takes longer than is ideal. We should investigate to see if there's any way we can optimise it in order to tighten up the edit code -> build -> test cycle when devtool modify is used with the kernel (which uses externalsrc internally).
Comment 1 Saul Wold 2017-07-21 23:10:24 UTC
Paul, slight clarifying question: I this when devtool is also invoked for the build or when one is in the eSDK and does a direct make?
Comment 2 Paul Eggleton 2017-07-24 09:02:12 UTC
This relates to when devtool (or bitbake, outside of the eSDK) does the build.
