I cannot reproduce this on the Cheery Hill board I have available, and we have different boards so figuring this one out could be difficult.

It looks like it might be failing to reach the boot loader, so some common things to rule out before proceeding would be:
* Trying different boot media. The USB stick could be dying, or the image may not have been written to the USB stick correctly.
* Trying to boot a known working case, such as a 2.1 release build. The board could be having an issue rather than the image.

Cal

Are you able to send us the Bios that you have on your Cherry Hill, seems like this problem appears after a bios update.

Last known config that boot was:

@Cal, Juan sent the details of your request; is that the info you need?
Comment 5 California Sullivan 2016-11-16 18:16:51 UTC
Just to clarify: were you able to boot these images by reverting to older firmware?
Comment 6 Juan Ramos 2016-11-16 18:24:02 UTC
No, since I have not been able to flash another BIOS yet.
Comment 7 Juan Ramos 2016-11-17 23:41:28 UTC
Flashed BSW_IFWI_X64_R_X097_00_Production_SecEnabled.bin and image:

core-image-sato-sdk-intel-corei7-64.hddimg

Downloaded from:

http://yocto-ab-master.jf.intel.com/pub/releases/yocto-meta-intel-6.0-morty-2.2.rc2/machines/intel-corei7-64/

meta-intel : cb5025bfbb9fbf1638af4c0c979f77eade2dbefb
poky : 6c9f6b5f70ab3ee194b2c2c6f3bd462c994848fa

The Cherry hill platform boot ok, and I was able to run the tests; but, with the:
core-image-sato-sdk-intel-corei7-64.wic

downloaded from the same web address I wasn't able to boot, the boot menu appears ok and I was able to select "Boot" from options, then some errors appear and the boot process stop.
Some pictures about the issue attached.

Strange that it is booting with the live hddimg but not the wic image... I will look into these.
Comment 11 California Sullivan 2016-12-10 01:41:52 UTC
I am still blocked by lack of hardware. Hopefully I will have something within the week.
Comment 12 California Sullivan 2017-01-26 23:03:42 UTC
I finally have the hardware to test this and wasn't able to reproduce the issue.

Board info:
    Braswell RVP
    Intel Atom x5-E8000 CPU
    BRAS.X64.X093.R00.1602110412 firmware revision

I tested the following image: http://yocto-ab-master.jf.intel.com/pub/releases/meta-intel-6.0-morty-2.2/machines/intel-corei7-64/core-image-sato-intel-corei7-64.wic

The board booted without issue.

If you have time, please test the image I linked with the v93 version of the firmware. If the v93 version is successful, retry with v97. If not, let me know.

Thanks.

Hi, I have tested the image with the 97R00 and successfully boot.
Comment 15 Juan Ramos 2017-02-09 19:56:08 UTC
Changing to Resolved, not a bug.
Thanks.
Comment 16 Juan Ramos 2017-04-19 21:45:02 UTC
Verified, tested in commit eff56e4f0d59b1d965a68e4f009b7f07717b7edd, lsb, sato and wic images boot ok on Cherry Hill.
