In the Layer Index, there are layer dependencies that are optional instead of required, but Toaster treats all dependencies as required.

The proposal is to add GUI selection support to both notify the developer of these option dependencies when a layer is added, and allow the developer to opt-out on any of them.

I am working on a design and then an implementation, which I hope to contribute to Toaster.

This is dependent on a contribution to Layer Index to include an "Optional Layer" flag in the dependency database.

I m moving this to future until that change is implemented.

I need to find out the status of optional layers in YP/BB.
