For instance if IMAGE_TYPEDEP_foo = "tar.bz2" then when setting IMAGE_FSTYPES = "foo", during image creation do_image_tar fails, because pbzip2-native doesn't get added to the dependencies. To reproduce: 1. apply the patch attached, to master as of dbb247cac5fbf7b037e4955f9793828451723924. 2. bitbake sample-image The patch is essentially work in progress for 9502, which is how I discovered the issue.
