This is a known issue from 1.0 release (Or even 0.9 release) In target qemu, we have slim chances to successfully build a bigger project, always Internal Error with GCC. In 0.9, with bigger memory assignment for qemu, it might be ok. But in 1.0, even I assign 512M for i586 qemu, I still have higher rate of failure.
