Build with rm_work enabled so there's probably a missing dependency somewhere.

Really need additional info on this issue as I am not able to reproduce this with rm_work enabled. More information about the host configuration maybe?

see previous
Comment 3 Saul Wold 2017-08-16 22:21:08 UTC
I saw this happen randomly doing a build, I could not reproduce it a second time. What I did see was that the recipe-sysroot-native/sysroot-provides did not have the compiler or other cross tools.

So I think ross is right about a missing dependency, possibly since make_scripts is done before do_configure, maybe some do_configure related dependency.
Comment 4 Saul Wold 2017-08-16 23:04:50 UTC
As far as I can tell the BASEDEPENDS seem to be correct, so I am not sure what exactly is triggering the dependency failure. My test was building build-appliance-image not with rm_work.

I tried to duplicate it with INHIBIT_DEFAULT_DEPS, but it failed in other ways, not related to iwlwifi
Comment 5 Ross Burton 2017-08-29 16:11:36 UTC
Interestingly I can't replicate this now, maybe the other fixes solved it or something in oe-core changed. I'll close and will reopen if I hit it again.
