Description Stanley Phoong 2017-08-06 23:24:28 UTC
Juci uses a modified version of lighttpd. Rather than modified it's more like they added websocket plugin into lighttpd. Older version of lighttpd doesn't bundle together with websocket plugin within lighttpd.

"Due to the buffer/chunck handling refactoring done in lighttpd 1.4.36, this module is not following the lighttpd development anymore." (Quoted from https://redmine.lighttpd.net/boards/3/topics/4782?r=6575#message-6575)

Juci relies heavily on websocket implementation, therefore, either port in juci-lighttpd as another recipe or add the websocket plugin as a huge patch chuck.

Amarnath have work in progress in GitHub.
https://github.com/avalluri/meta-configuration/blob/juci/devel/bbappends/openembedded-core/meta/recipes-extended/lighttpd/lighttpd_%25.bbappend

websocket.conf has been tested working and connection was established.

Current challenge: css files were not compiled and web page unable to find the css files to load.

Juci recipe has now covered js files compilation but not for css file. Debugging still in progress for css.

As for lighttpd integration, we can consider as done now.
