Is this really a designed feature of refkit? that escaping to login is just a keypress away?
At bootup, one of the virtual terminal was used to launch weston. If you switch to another virtual terminal and launch weston manually, you can exit weston cleanly by press key sequence (ctrl+alt+backspace). This quit weston key sequence was documented at below URL. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/wayland But in the default virtual terminal used at bootup, when you press quit weston key sequence (ctrl+alt+backspace), it does not exit weston cleanly, instead it was showing exception message "coult not create XKB compose table for locale 'C'. Disabiling compose". Is this the designed feature of refkit? By design, I would like to disable such key combinations, and VT switching altogether. But I don't know if this is possible with Weston... But overall, Weston is on RefKit just as a demo that graphics output works. It is not configured to do anything useful, because there's nothing it would be used for included in RefKit. So it is just for developers so they can start adding things there that would actually use it and configure it to their liking. Only RefKit requirement is "Wayland/Weston is there and can be started". (In reply to comment #4) > By design, I would like to disable such key combinations, and VT switching > altogether. So I'd say don't spend too much time on this one then :) It is easily configurable in weston.ini: [shell] allow-zap=false vt-switching=false The file can be put in e.g. /etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini OK, thanks! I'll add that to RefKit through a bbappend... Refkit work isn't continuing so mark as obsolete. |
