bash also not found on mpc8315e-rdb sato-sdk image , but found on qemuppc sato-sdk image. Some system command, like ldd, is based based. The issue makes there commands not work. This was an interesting one to track down. bash was being included due to connman having an RDEPENDS on resolvconf which in turn had a DEPEND on bash. The recent version of connman removed that RDEPENDS on resolvconf thus removing bash from sato. How are the QA tests relying on bash? Is it possible to modify the tests to use the busybox shell or do we need to re-instate bash? Is it possible to modify the tests to > use the busybox shell or do we need to re-instate bash? Em... Some system commands depend on bash: root@emenlow:/usr/bin# grep "\/bash" -r * font2psf:#!/bin/bash gnome-doc-tool:#!/bin/bash ldd:#! /bin/bash quilt:#! /bin/bash tzselect:#! /bin/bash usb-devices:#!/bin/bash xtrace:#! /bin/bash Meanwhile, many cases in LTP use bash as interpreter. I could change them to use sh, but not sure if everything could run without problem. If we re-install bash, what should I do? Is it enough if I build bash and install it into target with rpm? That seems to indicate that those package need to have RDEPNEDS for bash, a short term workaround would be to add bash to the sato task, but we should look more closely at the tests and packages and determine if they need bash or can really use the the busybox sh. I will create a patch to include bash in sato. (In reply to comment #1) > bash also not found on mpc8315e-rdb sato-sdk image , but found on qemuppc > sato-sdk image. in nightly build 20110708-1 ,bash found on mpc8315e-rdb and qemuppc sato-sdk image. Verify this bug in Yocto1.1 M2 RC2 20110708 testing.
