Description Kumar Gala 2011-07-13 22:27:33 UTC
When trying a simple build/run of poky for mpc8315e-rdb on a x86 fedora 13 host system the build hangs at:

NOTE: Running task 74 of 77 (ID: 12, /local/home/galak/git/poky/meta/recipes-extended/tar/tar-replacement-native_1.26.bb, do_configure)
NOTE: package tar-replacement-native-1.26-r0: task do_configure: Started

ATTENTION! pax archive volume change required.
Ready for archive volume: 1
Input archive name or "." to quit pax.
Archive name >

This seems related to running this with a large UID value:

[galak@right build]$ id
uid=18005187(galak) gid=18005187(galak) groups=18005187(galak)

Potential fix for issue

Here's a patch based on some work done by Tom Rini that works around the bug.
