This is the same issue as seen on bug 12578, but on real hardware. It is fixed by the following patch which is included in v4.14.25 kernels and newer: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?h=linux-4.14.y&id=71978491bb6600d39ef68f421c23aeb11c10053f Bruce has sent a kernel update moving to v4.14.30 which will include this for the qemu machines: http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2018-March/149307.html Adding Anuj to CC as he takes care of genericx86 kernel updates. Anuj has sent the genericx86 update patch: https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2018-March/040524.html we tried to boot this image with Linux genericx86 4.9.78-yocto-standard kernel. Image is booting successfully. Fixed as of this commit in poky master: https://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=44702b3c3042b450325a373b8f1c38e124aaeebe The fixes were verified to resolved the issue in QA 2.5 M4 RC1. https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/tr_show_run.cgi?run_id=9388 |
