unfs3 is unmaintained (last repo touch was 2015), but Ganesha https://github.com/nfs-ganesha/nfs-ganesha is actively maintained. Should we switch?
Comment 1 Ross Burton 2018-11-06 19:42:19 UTC
FWIW, ross/mut has recipes for libtirpc and nfs-ganesha which at least build.

Comment 3 Ross Burton 2018-11-07 20:18:38 UTC
I filed a few bugs and patches upstream, so check git/issues.
Comment 4 Ross Burton 2022-06-15 11:03:53 UTC
My patches are still available in poky-contrib:ross/nfs, fwiw.
Comment 5 Paulo Neves 2022-07-19 15:08:49 UTC
I gave it a try but ntirpc cannot replace libtirpc because otherwise there is a circular dependency where ntirpc depends on libnsl2 which in turn depends on an rpc library, in this case ntirpc.

Dont really know how to proceed from here.

nfs-ganesha and ntirpc
Comment 7 Ross Burton 2022-07-28 15:30:42 UTC
There is no circular dependency: libtirpc and ntirpc can co-exist.

Any news? Re-submit when 5.2 opens up?
Comment 10 Randy MacLeod 2025-02-06 16:26:12 UTC
Not really a newcomer issue.
