Description Ross Burton 2018-04-30 04:51:10 UTC
asciidoc is dead upstream now [1] and won't move to Python 3, so we should consider packaging the official replacement asciidoctor [2]. Annoyingly this is now written in Ruby, so we either give up and add Ruby to the host dependencies, or ruby-native is going to be more important in builds.

[1] https://github.com/asciidoc/asciidoc/releases/tag/8.6.10. Which is also a version we don't package so we should upgrade first. We'll want to cherry-pick [3] though.

Less important now that we found the official unofficial port of asciidoc to Py3, which is now in master.

The py3 asciidoc is sort of maintained so we can use that for now.
