Currently Toaster places its layer and variable changes in separate files ('toaster.conf' and 'toaster_bblayers.conf'), and when it builds the project it passes these files to bitbake. However, while the separation is clean it breaks compatibility with command-line usage, limiting its portability and accessibility because of the special and non-obvious bitbake commands required. Proposed solution: Place the Toaster changes in special sections at the end of the normal conf files, and only perform updates within those sections. This not only preserves the normal command line usage, it keeps the changes in the relevant files plus preserves the original settings that Toaster might override.
