With commit fe73ea8c510877fe4e3c117985e8f3d0b79ddf1b, I noticed many Copyrights got replaced with Linux Foundation for years they had nothing to do with OE.
I had no idea one could do that with Copyrights, replace the owners like that.

I feel like a correction should be made to those files

You can transfer Copyright ownership if you are owner. That commit covers some very specific changes when the Yocto Project was created and some existing copyright was transferred into the project (Linux Foundation) ownership (Intel owned OpenedHand copyright so had the legal right to transfer).
