That sounds reasonable to me and is presumably how we handled this for -dbg. |
It is currently not possible to RDEPEND on a -src package from a recipe because the -src package is not in ${PACKAGES}, but instead added dynamically at packaging time. It is not usually expected that a recipe would have any need to RDEPEND on a -src package, but it can be occasionally useful to include the source from a given package in an image for debugging, like so: IMAGE_INSTALL_append_pn-core-image-minimal = "foo-src" However, doing so results in the following error: ERROR: Nothing RPROVIDES 'foo-src' (but .../core-image-minimal_1.0.bb RDEPENDS on or otherwise requires it) I think that the solution is to add the ${PN}-src packages to the default ${PACKAGES} in bitbake.conf.
