recipes-extended/parted/files/Makefile is only used in do_install_ptest and is copied into $D directly, so I doubt that's actually the fix and this probably actually breaks the test suite on target. I suspect what happened is that you added a new patch and it forced a rebuild, which then worked. If you can replicate this failure after removing this change please re-open, but your patch literally cannot solve a build-time issue. You're right. I did a: bitbake -c cleansstate parted parted-native && bitbake parted parted-native and it worked. My mistake! |

It looks like the Makefile provided in the layer was generated by running the configure script in the source directory (and not in the build directory). The Makefile should probably be regenerated for version 3.2 (since it mentions 3.1)... I tested my patch with parted and parted-native and both built fine.
