how often do you encounter it ? looking at the elf/Makefile logic it seems the dependency on sln.o is expressed correctly, So I wonder if its some external factor, I have built it with -j44 for x86_64 qemu and did not encounter this race yet. We've seen it once so far, I wanted to log it so we can track how often it happens, see if its anything obvious etc. lets wait and watch for few days. If it troubles more. I don't think this has happened in the builds run at Wind River. If it hasn't happened on the YP AB, then shall we just close the defect? And then another month passed and there was no glibc parallel make race build failure. ( https://www.montypython.net/scripts/minutepassed.php ) We've made minor changes to glibc but this build race error hasn't happened again. Re-open if it happens again. |
