Description Louis Rannou 2020-02-26 15:49:44 UTC
This is not a bug, but a status message need to be improved.

In sanity.bbclass, in function check_connectivity :

Connectivity is tested by fetching URIs in variable CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS (default is www.example.com).

If none is accessible, the status error is ambiguous. It says to ensure the host's network is correctly configured but never if the remote is available.

Possible solution : add a comment to ensure CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS is correct and specified URIs are available.
Comment 1 Louis Rannou 2020-02-26 15:56:02 UTC
Step to reproduce :

Add this in local.conf:

CONNECTIVITY_CHECK_URIS="http://example.thisdomaindoesnotexist/"

Remake the sanity check

I doubt that Mingli will get to this so move to unassigned and CC Mingli.
