Description Robert Yang 2011-08-18 23:41:18 UTC
1) Add the following lines to conf/local.conf:

SDKGCCVERSION="4.5.1"
GCCVERSION="4.5.1"

2) bitbake meta-toolchain

The we will notice the error that sed can't find the directory:

${TMPDIR}/work-shared/gcc-${PV}/gcc-${PV}-${PR}

we have changed the name from gcc-${PV} to gcc-${PV}-${PR}, but haven't updated
meta/recipes-devtools/gcc/gcc-common.inc

verified using lastest git branch master.
git info :6c2b7beac3cd23ed44bd3e195c6360a0932876bf
git branch :poky/master.

verified steps:
1. add below lines to conf/local.conf:
SDKGCCVERSION="4.5.1"
GCCVERSION="4.5.1"
2. bitbake gcc-cross-initial
3. bitbake gcc-crosssdk-initial

no error met using above two commands,and found gcc-4.5.1-r8 in the tmp/work-shared subdir of the build dir.
