Yes I plan on doing that shortly. Do you have plans to do this? Was this fixed for master and dunfell at least? @Richard - this is still failing on master. Check if these patches need to be backported to supported releases. This fix is in master, dunfell, gatesgarth, hardknott, and honister. Since zeus and warrior are long out of support, I will just mark this as WONTFIX. |
Building python3 fails on the do_install task when PACKAGECONFIG is used to disable readline. This happens because python3 recipe has a script that checks build completeness: do_install_prepend() { ${WORKDIR}/check_build_completeness.py ${T}/log.do_compile } And when readline is removed, the script considers the build as incomplete. To reproduce: git clone git://git.yoctoproject.org/poky -b warrior --depth=1 source poky/oe-init-build-env # Disable readline by adding the following line to your conf/local.conf # PACKAGECONFIG_remove_pn-python3 = "readline" bitbake python3 # Build fails *Dirty* workaround: Add a bbappend with the following: do_install_remove ="${WORKDIR}/check_build_completeness.py ${T}/log.do_compile"
