local.conf for runqemu failure none

Description Joe Slater 2020-05-20 08:03:12 UTC
libsdl2-native does not build with opengl support, even if configured to, because mesa-native does not build for x11 (so it doesn't provide glx.h to libsdl2-native). So, no context is created and runqemu should fail with an initialization error message.

So, test_testimage_virgl_gtk_sdl() should always fail for this case unless mesa is not the opengl provider.

We had a determinism issue with this, which was recently fixed in master:
http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?h=master-next&id=13e49c2af060bd64adcae8df80ebe195838b3703

Since then it's been working reliably. Does this fix the issue for you?

Question for you Joe.

local.conf for runqemu failure
Comment 4 Joe Slater 2020-05-21 11:11:33 UTC
Hm, my original comment went away when I attached local.conf. Anyway, things still fail and I am building on two additional hosts. The failure is in libepoxy, which does not think a GLX context exists.

What is your host distro?

Can you also tell the poky commit id please?

This is tested on the AB in both 18.04, and 16.04, so I don't have any further ideas right now. You can check e.g.:

Ping Joe?
Comment 11 Joe Slater 2020-06-04 17:38:41 UTC
Since this is working for oe-core, I will change status to resolved.
