https://github.com/bminor/glibc/commit/8ed005daf0ab03e142500324a34087ce179ae78e is the glibc commit removing _STAT_VER. _STAT_VER is now in an internal header that isn't accessible outside the glibc source tree. _MKNOD_VER (also used by pseudo) is also gone. pseudo also doesn't current wrap faccessat2. Partially addressed by: http://cgit.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/commit/?id=c897ac317926b132547578b1f6bd347fe5677dfc http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=77d9b5f02aec991540926fe144076e122c17f64d fixes the STAT_VER and MKNOD_VER but doesn't add the syscall Hi, This bug doesn't seem to have much description, but I assume it covers my problem. I'm sticking this here just in case.... I"m a member of the ELISA Linux Foundation project (and a newby) and am trying to build an ELISA demo system that is based on an agl platform. For reasans that i don't want to discuss, I'm using an OpenSuse Tumbleweed machine with glibc 2.33. The pseudo build craps out with failed compiles because _STAT_VER has not been defined. After a bit of investigation, I've found out that io/sys/stat.h has eliminated references to _STAT_VER in 2.33 (it was in 2.32). The pseudo source code is littered with references to _STAT_VER, and according to the overview in the documentation, this is intentional. Note that OpenSuse Tumbleweed may be a bit obscure, but Ubuntu 21.04 is scheduled to upgrade to glibc 2.33. Just for reference, diff 2.32 - 2.33 https://fossies.org/diffs/glibc/2.32_vs_2.33/io/sys/stat.h-diff.html Hi, I happened by chance to see this, I wouldn't recommend asking questions on closed bugs as people are unlikely to see them. It would be better on a mailing list. You didn't mention which branch you're on, likely dunfell or gatesgarth. The glibc 2.33 updates are making their way through on those branches and updating pseudo there should fix this issue. Updating to use the most recent OE-Core for your branch is probably the best way forward. Any further discussion should go to the mailing lists... Cheers, Richard |
