We now have the ability to turn off updates for a LayerBranch, but the only place that is indicated is in the admin interface. When a LayerItem has updates disabled, a LayerNote can be created, but that currently is attached to the "master" LayerBranch (an error will be thrown if no "master" LayerBranch exists). We probably want a different mechanism, maybe some kind of "badge". This would be most useful if it was set in the layer detail for each LayerBranch where updates are disabled (might be because the LayerBranch itself has updates disabled or that the Branch is system wide disabled or the "Layer" (LayerItem) is in the No Update state). And in the case of "master", even though a layer has updates disabled, we still display it in the table, e.g. meta-ros2-dashing meta-ros2-eloquent meta-ros2-foxy meta-ros2-galactic Even though they are all marked as "No Update" at the LayerItem level and a LayerNote has been created. Another concept might be "Archived". We also have layers that can no longer be fetched, as the upstream git repository no longer exists. Currently we can really only delete all the LayerBranches if we do not want them to be displayed with now bogus data (links to recipes will not work, etc.) This indication MUST be at the LayerBranch level, as some layers can still be updated at x release/branch, but not at y branch. Bulk move of bugs from 5.0-M3 to 5.99. The bugs in this list are all unassigned and are ones that I consider to be nice to do some time but not essential track from milestone to milestone in 5.0 or 5.1. We agreed on this bug handling approach in the YP bug review on Feb 22, 2024. If you disagree, please move back to a 5.[012...]-M* milestone.
