My guess is this is running the procps variant of kill (priority 200) not the util-linux (priority 80).

However, the util-linux run-ptest script should be adding a symlink tree where kill is kill.util-linux to the beginning of PATH, so this shouldn't happen.

The plan is to add some debug output to util-linux's run-ptest script so we can check which version of the binaries is being used in the logs next time it fails.

Richard Purdie investigated Ross's suggestion but that did not work out.
