Description akuster 2023-04-04 14:49:04 UTC
We need to make the Yocto Compatible information visible on the layer index. I appears there is some support added in defect: https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10513

There are four parts to this:
(1) for historic reasons, the actual badge (branding) was not added to the "admin_interface" for Yocto Project Compatible 2.0 instance/object. The metadata was never added to the database. This metadata has now been added.
(2) new AutoBuilder jobs were added which test _some_ layers (not an exhaustive list):
  (a) https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/39
  (b) https://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/typhoon/#/builders/121
(3) A script was needed to grab the successful results from those builds:
   https://git.yoctoproject.org/yocto-autobuilder-helper/commit/?id=be76b6a5e4e75d7e44d5f8e44038c166a3e24544
(4) A script was needed to consume the results of (3) and update the layerindex metadata (the database). Each LayerBranch object that has been tested and had a result of PASS is now marked (for dunfell, kirkstone, mickledore, nanbield and master). Any historic layers that had already been manually marked will also now display the badge because of (1).

These processes may change in the future, but we are in a better position to keep up to date.
