tmp/deploy/licenses directory structure

I do not quite understand why there are empty dirs in tmp/deploy/licenses.

That's built with:

commit 0f61386628df828c5b1a440a414759e3e60f86a2 (origin/master, origin/HEAD)

the license manifest indicates, that zlib is used:

PACKAGE NAME: zlib
PACKAGE VERSION: 1.3
RECIPE NAME: zlib
LICENSE: Zlib

but in tmp/deploy/licenses/ the zlib dir is empty

please note, that those dirs are not empty:

I got the same problem: https://lists.openembedded.org/g/openembedded-core/topic/107405668#msg202406

There are no any license files for arm or arm64 targets in tmp/deploy/licenses folder.

Probably it is became buggy since the following patch:
https://github.com/openembedded/openembedded-core/commit/1a4ab9fc26659507e678e87312b514e8ea515673

When it will be fixed? At the moment Scarthgap LTS is not able to use for any "production" because it has this bug and we can not generate the full manifest and licenses in our SD/eMMC card image build process of end-user products FOSS docs in our company.

One problem might be, that the licenses just moved into different directories like

tmp/deploy/licenses/x86_64/zlib-native/

tmp/deploy/licenses/armv7at2hf-neon/zlib/

and that they did not disappear altogether.

Another problem might be the one you mention adding license info to the image.

Maybe RP can tell us more about it?
