the log thats being created by bitbake itself.
Are you able to reproduce this with Poky only. (Maybe your toolchain is missing wchar?) Please tell us exactly how you are able to see this problem since no on else is seeing it. *** Bug 15506 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** After more discussion, it's almost certain that the target toolchain is missing wchar support and the problem is not in oe-core but your customized toolchain. thank you for the very fast answer. it was indeed a problem with missing wchar support in the toolchain. i had parts of poky-tiny.conf added to the toolchain. apparently poky-tiny disables widechar support. |
Created attachment 5048 [details] piped log Within the Build Process the ncurses library cannot be found. It does not look like the bb file pulls in the dependency correctly (my guess would be it'd have to build ncurses first + ldconfig + then build mc). building the downloaded source manually on x86_64 works fine, he finds the systemwide ncurses-dev. just when its going through bitbake and cross building for the arm64 machine... a log with further information is attached.
