In modern terms, this means adding a ptest package for the rt tests and then the ptest automation tests would pick this up and run them. Recipe exists for the rt-tests now, but a script is now needed to be written that can be used in ptest, if we are already running rt-tests, then scriptifing what is currently being run is all that's needed. marking it for 1.6... moved to 1.7 Linaro run rt-tests as listed below: https://git.linaro.org/qa/test-definitions.git/blob/HEAD:/openembedded/hackbench.yaml https://git.linaro.org/qa/test-definitions.git/blob/HEAD:/openembedded/cyclictest.yaml Is it acceptable to adopt similar script for rt-tests ptest ? No reason not to adopt similar scripts, please proceed. The tests are implemented using rt_bmark.py which uses the "stress" application to check the real-time performance under various conditions. We need to add the stress package as a dependency for this ptest. Submitted the patch to mailing list: http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2014-November/099275.html Sent patch to oe-core mailing list and waiting for review comments.
