Description Sundeep Kokkonda 2024-12-12 14:34:58 UTC
RISC-V offers several virtual memory address schemes (Sv39, Sv48, and Sv57),
but ASan currently supports only Sv39 on RISC-V64.

For riscv64, Asan's tuning for Sv39 can be enabled in qemu by default.

No objections in the bug review but it is odd that qemu isn't doing this already. Please work with qemu upstream to see if the default can be changed there.

Sundeep,
YP release 5.2-M2 will be built soon so we are one release until feature freeze.
Please have someone on the team look at the qemu source and our qemu recipe to see if we can safely change the default virtual memory address scheme.

Add Raj from WR who may have some guidance on options or interest in ensuring that the qemuriscv64 "BSP" configuration. Raj, perhaps you and Sundeep can talk since you're in the same timzeone.
