Description Tom Hochstein 2025-02-05 21:25:31 UTC
A commit with an inline Python expression, e.g.,
`${@oe.utils.contains...}`, triggers a patchtest failure.

FAIL: test commit message user tags: Mbox includes one or more GitHub-style username tags. Ensure that any "@" symbols are stripped out of usernames (test_mbox.TestMbox.test_commit_message_user_tags)

I played with this a bit from the command line. With grep, I was able to reproduce the issue by enabling Perl compatibility.

$ grep -Pz '\B@([a-z0-9](?:-(?=[a-z0-9])|[a-z0-9]){0,38}(?<=[a-z0-9]))' ~/0001-uboot-config-Fix-devtool-modify.patch

Replacing \B with \s fixes this as far as I can tell via grep.

$ grep -Pz '\s@([a-z0-9](?:-(?=[a-z0-9])|[a-z0-9]){0,38}(?<=[a-z0-9]))' ~/0001-uboot-config-Fix-devtool-modify.patch
