This is mostly covered by Bug 1642 and Bug 1646. There is some additional work here however to combine the results of those efforts together as well as: o Document best practices for balancing: - high compression for flash space vs. cpu time to uncompress - added size in exchange for support of much faster media - initrd vs. monolithic kernel o Provide EFI capable images - prototype efilinux and gnu-efi recipes are under test now - test and work with mfleming on the Linux kernel efi-stub which allows the Linux kernel to be it's own EFI payload (eliminating the need for a second stage boot loader). o Continue to work with hardware folks to keep the fast boot is important message alive! EFI boot is complete. Poky-tiny is in master. The original work was done and new bugs would be created for new work. |
